Connor Morel is a Geelong-based singer, actor, writer, and musician who holds a Bachelor of Music Theatre.
As a performer, theatre highlights include Gimli in The Lord Of The Rings: A Musical Tale, DJ Fontana and others in Elvis: A Musical Revolution, Jordan Ridley in The Mentor (Bravo Arts), Ensemble and Robbie/Sammy cover in The Wedding Singer Aus/NZ tour (David Venn Enterprises), John Merrick in The Marvellous Elephant Man, and Roger in Rent (James Terry Collective). In 2022, Connor trained under master clown Philippe Gaulier in Étampes, France.
As a writer, Connor co-wrote the songs for Josh Glanc’s Family Man, which began its run at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe, receiving multiple 4-star reviews from The Times, FestMag, and more, and was a nominee for Best Comedy Show at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards.
He wrote the music, co-wrote lyrics, and arranged the song for Ecosa's 'Live Well Slept' campaign, which has run nationwide since 2023.
He co-created The Pizza Party House, a late-night variety show with a live band, which had it's premiere at Geelong Comedy Festival in 2024.
His own show, A Lovely Day To Be Online, was supported by Geelong Arts Centre’s Creative Engine and premiered at Melbourne Fringe before touring to New Zealand Fringe, Adelaide Fringe, and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. It was part of the reopening festival for Geelong Arts Centre in 2023.
Connor’s follow-up piece, Good Man, was recently commissioned by Geelong Arts Centre, obtained further funding through the City of Greater Geelong, and is currently in development.
